About Zion City

In 1973, God gave a vision to a small group of people to plant a church on Ruthrauff Road. They believed that God was calling them to establish an extraordinary church. That goal has remained the same for almost five decades, and today Zion City exists to help people encounter God and experience life transformation.

Senior Pastors

Waylon & Dana

Waylon and Dana Sears serve as the Senior Pastors of Zion City . Their heart is to see people restored holistically: spiritually, physically, emotionally, and relationally. They know that free and whole individuals will become the Church that the community runs to, not away from. They are excited about leading such a church and seeing the power of God transform the culture in Tucson and the surrounding region.

Waylon and Dana have been married for over 30 years and have been in ministry together since 1992. They moved to Tucson as youth pastors and faithfully served for more than twelve years before transitioning into the Senior Pastors in 2017. They have four incredible children who all live in Tucson and are a part of Zion City.
