WEDDING GUIDELINES
Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Thank you for considering a pastor from Zion City to officiate your wedding. We consider it an honor to be a part of your special day. Our pastoral team is committed to helping you prepare for your upcoming marriage. This brief guide will provide answers to your questions about having a member of our pastoral staff at Zion City officiate your wedding. These guidelines allow our pastoral team member to best serve you on your special day. Please contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to sharing this exciting time with you.
PREMARITAL COUNSELING
We believe God has a wonderful plan for your life and your marriage. As you consider the sacred covenant of marriage, we want to make the preparation experience positive and rewarding for you. One of the greatest ways to prepare for marriage is to participate in an in-depth premarital counseling program. If you are interested in being married by a pastor from Zion City, you must complete our SYMBIS pre-marital counseling. Contact the church office at (520) 293-6386 for more information. Completion of this pre-marital class is required to have a pastor from Zion City officiate your wedding.
OFFICIATING PASTOR GUIDELINE
To be married by a Zion City pastoral team member, both the bride and the groom are required to complete our pre-marital program at Zion City. Dates requested for the officiating pastor will be finalized when the pre-marital class is complete. If you are requesting a specific pastor to officiate your wedding on Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day weekends, you must be willing to have any pastor at Zion City officiate your wedding if your requested pastor is not available. For weddings held offsite, a minimum of one month's notice is required. For weddings at Zion City, additional lead time may be necessary due to potential scheduling conflicts. Early submission is highly recommended to ensure availability. All questions and communications regarding details or late changes for your ceremony will be handled by the officiating pastor’s office.
